How long will it take to design and build my website?

Generally, a static type website would take approximately 2 -3 weeks.

A database driven website (e.g. one that involves searches, content management etc) would take 2- 4 weeks.

An Ecommerce shopping cart type website would take approx 2-4 weeks.

Please note that these timescales depend on a prompt flow of feedback and information from the client, so where this flow is slow, it will take longer.

What is the procedure for designing my website?

First we will take time to learn about your business and it's needs. We will discuss with you what you want from your site, and discuss design ideas with you.

We will then draw up sample homepage layout designs and post these online for you to see. Following your feedback we then progress designs and repeat until you are happy.

Once the design is finalised, we can build all the pages and incorporate text and images supplied by you (or text & iamges supplied by us if this has been agreed)

Do I need to buy a domain name?

We can purchase domain names on your behalf if you don't already have one.

Web hosting - what is it and do I need it?

Web site hosting is the process of putting all the files and documents that make up a website onto a computer that is permanently connected to the Internet (a web server). These servers are housed in state of the art Datacenters, hence there is an ongoing cost for web hosting.

Every website must be hosted somewhere, so you need hosting but we can do this for you or you can arrange it yourself if you wish and we can upload your site for you.


Do I need to pay in advance?

No, we will normally request a deposit and if the work takes a long time, we would issue interim invoices.

How do I get listed in Google?

We can help you with this - Google first has to find your site, which is best achieved through links from other sites.


Do we need to meet?

It is not necessary if you are not close to our base in Kent. We have succesfully built websites for clients all over the country, without meeting face to face, by conversing on the phone and email.

If you are local to us we would be pleased to come and meet you, or you are welcome to visit our office.

What support do you offer?

Firstly, our websites are guaranteed so if anything goes wrong we will fix it.

Secondly, we are available for any assistance you may need - be it marketing advice, technical advice or alterations and updates to your website.
